About Southwest Elementary

Welcome to Southwest Elementary, where we set high expectations and believe in helping every child rise to the challenge. Our motto is “BIG effort, BIG fun. Balance is key. Unlock the magic of learning”. 

Our building serves approximately 600 students pre-k through second grade and 80 plus staff members. Students are encouraged to be respectful, kind, curious, and ready to learn each day. We believe that effort matters, hard work builds confidence, and students thrive when learning is active, hands-on, meaningful, and appropriately challenging.

At Southwest, we believe families and schools are partners in a child’s success. We value open communication and welcome families as an important part of our school community. Together, we can help children develop the skills, confidence, and love of learning they need to grow.
